NGCW and the road ahead

It’s almost that time…

NGCW is on the road to re-launch, and we’re almost to our first destination!  As you can see by the header graphics, our future is NGCW Overdrive.  Overdrive is going to be NGCW’s new flagship show, replacing the former ‘NGCW Live!’

Our return show will be the premiere episode of NGCW Overdrive, rather than the originally planned NGCW PPV relaunch.  Unfortunately, we didn’t have the number of sign-ups we were hoping for to build the PPV we were hoping for, but in the end, I think it’s for the best, as this will give us time to build a proper card for our first 2K18 PPV, and start NGCW’s new season off right!

Now, you may be curious — How many signups were you hoping for for the first PPV?  Why didn’t we have enough?  Well, due to the nature of the show we were hoping to put on, we needed upwards of 40+ competitors.  Why?

Well, you heard it here first.  Our first 2K18 PPV will be NGCW Brawl 2018!

For those of you who are not aware, Brawl is our 30-man* over-the-top-rope elimination match, where in increments of two minutes, competitors join the fray until all competitors have entered, and the last man standing becomes the number one contender for a shot at the NGCW Championship in the main event of Onslaught!

Additionally, with the announcement of NGCW Brawl being our first 2K18 PPV, this also leads me to the announcement of the 2017/2018 Brawl Series!  This series has had it’s format tweaked each year, and this year will be no different, however the overall concept remains the same.  This years Brawl Series will feature two groups of competitors, each 5 men in size.  Each man in each group will face each other man in their group in a match with a 10 minute time limit.  At the end of this match, the winner will receive a point for every minute remaining on the clock at the end of his match, rounding up to the next minute.  The loser, or losers in the case of a draw, will be awarded 0 points.  Once each man has wrestled the other four men in his group, their scores will be totaled, and the highest score in each group will win their group.   The winners of each group will then face off at NGCW Brawl in a one on one singles match, for a new, currently unannounced championship.

Which championship will this be?  Who will be in each grouping of competitors?  Answers for those questions will be revealed in time.  For now, train hard.

Good luck!
